Europeans have endorsed a project to extend the Appalachian Trail across the Atlantic. Last week, trail clubs in Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, England, Ireland and Wales formally joined the International Appalachian Trail during a meeting in Aviemore, Scotland.
