It is both so sad and so backwards that you nearly have to call out the National Guard to get a public document or public official's work email released in Tennessee. Other places aren't like that. Other places understand that the public OWNS those documents and emails. They are public property.

Why is the Knox County Law Director handling this anyway? Why are taxpayer funds being used to withhold public documents? Shouldn't these people have their own attorneys if they claim they sent personal emails on County computers?
